A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM SHAWN SHORE -
Hi Everyone, I'm posting this letter to tell you how thankful I am for all your kind donations that I have received for my health problems. Let me update you on my condition. I was diagnosed with Pulmonary fibrosis Back in 2015. The doctor at the time, set it off to the side, and said, it is what it is. Not knowing what Pulmonary Fibrosis was, I thought the cause was 40 years of being on the construction job site. In Feb of 2019 I got really sick. So I went to see my new Resident doctor because the doctor before, had retired. When I told him that I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, He looked at me and said. “that's pretty serious” It turns out the more likely cause was years of slow acid reflux that had seeped into my lungs. So then I was introduced to my new Pulmonary Doctor. The test began. The Idea was to get a lung transplant. But there was a lot involved getting to that state. So let me bring you up to date. The bottom line turned out that, the process of getting me to qualify for a lung transplant took too long. I was diagnosed with a node in my lungs that could be cancerous. If it is, then I could not get the transplant. Strike 1. Because the load on my lung condition got so bad it damaged the right side of my heart, pumping blood thru to the lungs making my heart unable to make it through the surgery. Strike 2. On top of that, the pulmonary fibrosis has advanced to where it would be another risk on the operating table. And that's strike 3. I had 51 Pulmonary doctors from Portland, Stanford, San Francisco, LA and San Diego determined these factors. So they are solid. My next intention is to do my best to insure my quality of life is the best I can and ride the last wave out. And that, my friends, is where I come back to you. The go fund me was a amazing opportunity, and each and every one of you gave me hope from this. Each and every one of you who donated to my cause has helped me get my last wishes of living the time I have at the best quality available. My hat is off to all of you. Thank you guys very much. We did good. This will give me the time to get all my affairs taken care of. Again from the bottom of my heart “Thank You.” I want to thank, especially the people that donated, that have never met me. It makes me feel good that there are people in this world that will contribute to a cause without knowing who the person is, just because they think it's the right thing to do. Thank you very much, you unknown people. Good heart in today's world is needed so much. I don't want to drag this on to much longer, because every one of you has been so generous, I will be leaving the Gofundme account up. Frankly because my family and I still need help. We're not asking you to strain your pockets - any small donation will help a lot, and help with the burden of getting though these tragic times. Again, I thank all of you for your kindness.
