Help Amal: A family of 5 and their baby girl Mariana

Donation protected
About Amal and Her Family (6 Members):

Amal Muhammad is a 22-year-old Palestinian woman and mother who has managed to survive in Gaza for over a year with her family of six: her husband Khaled, her mother Ibtisam, her sister Arwa, her brother Ahmed, and her young baby, Mariana, who was born during the war and is now approaching her first birthday. They initially lived in the North, were displaced to Rafah, and had to move again with the invasion of Rafah last May, incurring high costs to pay for transportation and resettling in a new camp at Deir al Balah.

What is the Money Needed For?

The funds are essential for their basic survival needs: purchasing clean drinking water, water for washing, food for five adults and one baby, diapers, and baby formula. If conditions worsen with the winter, they may need to relocate again, which will increase expenses and require a new tent. Prices are extremely high; to give an idea:

1 bottle of milk: $15-20
Baby formula: $30+
1 kg of flour: starting from $15
Canned food (chickpeas, lentils): $7-9 each
Shampoo: $40 | Soap: $7
Detergent: $40 | Baby shampoo: $30
Diapers (40 units): $20

How Does the Money Reach Them?

Amal's mother has an account with the Bank of Palestine, allowing Amal and her family to thankfully access the funds essential for their survival. Each time they receive a transfer, Amal can access the money through merchants, who, unfortunately, charge a 15-30% commission, depending on the border crossings and current news conditions.

Without donations, they have no income. They have had no income for over a year since the aggression began, so this fundraiser is their lifeline.
