Over the last 10 years, Donna Campbell (maiden name DeStefano), a retired teacher from New Castle, Pennsylvania, has been in the fight of her life.
Diabetes, thyroid cancer, orthostatic hypotension, and end stage renal disease have combined to lead her down a path of losing function in both her kidneys, one of her vocal cords, hearing in her right ear, most of her vision, and her left leg (amputation).
Now she's up against a potentially life threatening disease (in addition to the above) that has her in a world of pain due to large open wounds forming around her body, primarily her hips.

Our family has an uphill battle ahead of us to say the least. Once Donna's released from the hospital, she's looking at several months of skilled nursing, therapy, rehabilitation, or some combination of the three. Then she's looking at major surgery and hopefully a new kidney.
We've come a long way on this journey, but at this point, we could use all the help we can get.
Every penny we raise will go directly toward Donna's care. Her insurance has been doing a lot of the heavy lifting to date, but now she's going to need much more specialized attention. In short, if she's going to make it through this, she's going to need the very best.
