Ellen has been riding (and building) motorcycles for a long time. Until now it has been on the pavement.
On May 3rd the Ellen we all know and love was being Ellen and trying a new thing... riding a dirt bike.

Wearing all the right gear she headed off down the gravel. Kicking up rocks and having a great time.
Then things went sideways, sideways up over a berm, hitting a log and hitting the ground.

Pop, pop and there went her ACL and MCL, and her ability to stand and work for at least a couple months.

Ellen was wearing the right protective gear, but still these things happen.
Medical bills are mostly covered through insurance, but without being able to work she has blown through her savings with rent, groceries, bills, and just life's expenses.
She could use a helping hand keeping a roof over her head, electricity on, gas in the tank, and food in the fridge... and almonds for the squirrels. Don't forget the squirrels.
Funds raised will go toward Ellen's living expenses and keeping a roof over her head until she can return to work. That might be a while as she stands all day cutting hair. Standing for more than 30 minutes currently is too much. Any funds that are not used by the time Ellen has income rolling in she will donate to Planned Parenthood.
If you know Ellen, you know how much she gives to others.
Let's give a little back and show her we care.
