Help Joanne Beat Cancer
Joanne Bettencourt is a 55 year old loving mother of 2 children and a grandmother of one. Unfortunately in July 2018 she was diagnosed with stage 4 Stomach Cancer.
Because of the cancer, she was unable to work. Unfortunately Joanne’s employer did not have Disability Insurance Coverage. This left Joanne to rely on only CPP (Canada Pension Plan) as a source of income.
In the Fall of 2018 Joanne did her first round of Chemo Treatments. On December 4th 2018, Joanne had surgery to remove the cancerous tumour from her stomach. Also 70 percent of her stomach was removed, part of her colon and 18 Lymph Nodes.
Joanne had complications after the surgery and had to spend Christmas and New Year’s in the hospital. A total of 5 weeks.
After being discharged in January 2019, Joanne did another round of Chemo treatments.
Joanne was supposed to return to work in July 2019. A week before her planned return to work, Joanne received a letter from her employer, informing her that her job title as “Office Manager” did not exist anymore. Her employer was firing her. This was devastating news to Joanne, who was battling cancer.
Unfortunately for Joanne, a CT Scan in August showed that the cancer has now spread to her liver. She is now battling Liver Cancer.
Joanne has always been there for everyone in her life. Now she is the one that needs help. Please help Joanne beat cancer. Any donation is appreciated. God Bless You.
