Hello all. I am asking for help. I am asking for prayers! I'm sure you all have heard about the terrible flooding that has occured in Southern Louisiana. This sad situation is just as hard for my family because my Aunt Kris, her husband Michael and their two beautiful husky puppies are being affected by this...badly... and it breaks my heart that there isn't much I can do for them. Even just $1 goes a long way. They have been evacuated from their home, brought to a church to sleep, evacuated again by the National Guard to another shelter. Some are sheltered at the airport and evacutaed because the water is flooding more and more. 13 people have been reported dead, many injured, and thousands of homes DESTROYED with everything in it! They were without food for days, no money, no one can work, no transportation. Everyone is stuck and just trying to stay alive and get through this terrible time. ANYTHING HELPS. I decided to start this in hopes that this will not just help my Aunt & her family but their friends, their neighbors, the families and children around them. We can't make a change but we can certainly make a difference. Every dollar raised to the penny will go directly to my aunt, Kristen Lewis Day to help her community, their HOME. I originally had made a plan to collect certain items such as clothing, non-perishable food, dog supplies, etc until I realized there is no address to send my packages to. Please share this post. Please Please PLEASE. Please keep my family and everyone else in LA in your prayers.
