Schatzman Family House Fire Fund

This picture is of my daughter, Kristen, and her family on Christmas Day; Cody, Chris, Brooke, Eric, Kristen, Sophia and Nikki, Cody’s girlfriend. Cody and Nikki are expecting a baby in June.

They are in the helping field, Kristen is an RN at  Wheaton Franciscan Hospital in Racine. Eric is in heating and air-conditioning and never turns down a request for his help.

Now they need some help. 
Two days after this picture was taken the house Eric was renting and all of their possessions were destroyed in a devastating fire. 

In the early morning, on December 27, Nikki woke up to the sound of an explosion. Looking out the bedroom window, Nikki saw a fire on the back sun porch. Cody tried to put out the fire but it was too big. They ran out into the frigid cold with only the clothes on their backs, not even shoes or a coat. Fortunately, they were the only ones home at the time or it could have been so much worse.

Their sweet little kitty jumped from Nikki’s arms and may have run out a door. They are leaving food out for the cat and have been driving around looking for him. 

We are so blessed that no one was hurt. It could have been so much worse.
