Shennette's Lupus Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Hey Friends and Family,
I am sure that most of you know that my best friend for over 18 years, Shennette Sheffield Sparkes is battling Lupus. Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body). Chronic means that the signs and symptoms tend to last longer than six weeks and often for many years. Shennette has been battling this ugly disease since 2008. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with two
types of lupus which makes her fight a little tougher.
Shennette Sheffield, was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sheffield grew up as a multitalented athlete, attending St. Thomas Aquinas High School. In high school she ran track and played volleyball, with her skills and passion for basketball setting her apart. Shennette loves to help others and motivate any and everyone. Her goal in life is to own a faith based youth home and orphanage through her company, Higher Learning Hoops.
Due to this horrible disease, Shennette has spent countless nights in the hospital away from her husband, Germaine and daughter Kyla. Her expenses continue to climb due to numerous hospital stays, treatments and normal bills and inability to work for nearly one year. On top of that, the monthly cost of her medicine is nearly $200. All expenses for her family now solely rest on the shoulders of her husband and close family. Lupus has placed a few road blocks in Shennette's life.
Shennette has always been passionate about helping others and giving back. It's our time to step in and help her at this critical time. Please feel free to donate to her fight against lupus. Donations of all sizes are welcomed.
