The Baxter Family Living Expenses
Donation protected
The year 2023 has been exceptionally challenging and financially stressful for The Baxter Family. I am reaching out to ask for your support in alleviating some of their burdens through your generous donations.
Mike, the sole provider for their household, faced a serious workplace injury where he fell off a ladder into a concrete elevator pit. His injuries, including shoulder, foot, ankle, neck, and back, have kept him out of work since May. Despite undergoing shoulder surgery on October 17th and ankle surgery on November 22nd, the family is grappling with a nightmare situation with workers' compensation. They have received no compensation since June, exacerbating their financial strain. Since Mike has been out of work for 6 months now, the entire family is about to lose their medical benefits unless they are able to pay an additional $1,200 a month. As you can imagine, losing medical insurance would be devastating for a family with 6 children.
Adding to their challenges, their son Landon (10) had a partial splenectomy on November 7th, and their daughter Paisley underwent an emergency appendectomy on December 12th. After her surgery Paisley developed an internal abscess and was hospitalized for 3 days over New Years.
In addition to the immense medical concerns, the family is facing a significant emotional and financial toll. Mike's extended absence from work, coupled with daily living expenses, and medical bills, has led to a pile-up of expenses. As the responsibilities of caring for everyone and managing the household duties fall on my friend Sarah, she is struggling to get and keep everything in order and stay sane during this time. I am seeking your assistance to provide relief in any way possible.
Your contributions, no matter how small, can make a meaningful impact on their journey towards healing and recovery. Your generosity will help to alleviate the mounting financial pressure. Thank you for considering and sharing from your heart.
