TEAM CALEB! #CommunityCollaboration

Caleb is a 19 year old young man that moved to Escondido in March of this year from Ohio. Due to a string of very unfortunate circumstances and some bad people found himself Homeless and living on the streets in his car, until that was stolen from him as well. Along with everything left that he owned.. Clothes, Drivers License, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card and all of his personal belongings.

Last week, with nowhere to go Caleb reached out for help on social media and almost immediately we (Southern California Youth Emergency Services) were able to offer Caleb Safe & Secure Shelter while we began his intake and started him on the process finding resources and helping him off of the streets.

Immediately we (Southern California Youth Emergency Services) knew that Caleb's situation was unique. NO drugs involved. Just a young man that lost his way in San Diego and ended up Extremely Unsafe.

It's been one week that we have been providing Case Management for Caleb and we have been able to secure him Long Term Housing in his own apartment, purchased him new clothing & shoes, secured his new Birth Certificate, have an appointment to obtain his new Social Security card,  set him up on Unemployment Benefits, secured him Full Time Employment beginning Sept. 1st and are hoping to be able to help him purchase a reliable vehicle, obtain long term counseling, possible online schooling and financial education along with long term aftercare.  This has been an overwhelming week for Caleb. He's an extremely grateful young man and is continually thanking us.

We have received many messages of support and individuals and families wanting to HELP Caleb. With his permission we have set up this GoFundMe on his behalf.
One of our Organizations biggest missions is Community Collaboration. This is our City, our County and WE have the Ability to make a HUGE Change.

Our MAIN Goal is to continue to Help Caleb transition from being a Dependent Young Person in CRISIS into a Successful Independent Adult! You can HELP us HELP Caleb and truly appreciate everyone that already has.

We will have a BLOG featuring Caleb's Journey online by this weekend where we will continue to update his story at www.socalyes.org/blog/

*Every dollar raised will go 100% to Caleb and be held in a Client Trust Fund at his request. Where he will have access to his money when he needs it, with supervision, while he learns financial independence.
