Help save La Parroquia

My name is Elizabeth Bremner and I admin Lake Zurich chat. I have known Jorge and Kary for years and they are the most generous, loving people. Please help them stay in business!!

Help a local restaurant, a local family, a neighbor.

My name is Jorge, the owner of La Parròquia Mexican Pancake House. My dream has been to bring the food and flavors of my family to your family. I live in Lake Zurich, Lake County, Illinois. My children go to the local schools, and we shop at the local stores. It would be hard to find a more loving and giving community.

I opened my restaurant in December 2019, right before the pandemic. This pandemic has crushed so many businesses, but I refused to let it crush my dream.

I have poured everything that I own into this restaurant. I had to sell my house and car; I have all but exhausted all my savings. We are so close to making it. We survive month to month, and we truly believe that we can and will succeed in 2022.

We just need a little help right now. Please help us make it through our hardest time. This is the time of year that all the licenses come due. The State License, the Food License, the Liquor License, and so much more.

It is very difficult for me to ask for help, but I am asking. Anything that you can do would be appreciated by me and my family. Help us keep our head above water, help us make it through the next few months.

If you cannot donate, please come in and eat; let me cook for you and your family. There are many restaurants in this area, but few of the owners live here. Every dollar that you spend at La Parròquia goes to a resident of Lake Zurich, a neighbor, a friend.

They told me that no restaurant can survive in this building, help me prove them wrong. Help my dream come true.
