The Joy Project Charleston
As you all know, the further spread of covid-19 has greatly impacted the hospitality and tourism industries all around the world. While Charleston is a regional hub for food and bev, hospitality and tourism, many of these workers remain jobless with unemployment ending soon. The Joy Project is an effort to help raise funds to provide meals and face masks for the thousands of individuals and families that aren’t able to make ends meet in the current climate. Protecting yourself and others by wearing a face mask is critical to keeping businesses open, workers employed, and our community safe. This fund will go directly towards feeding + providing face masks for the families in need in the Holy City. If you are in a position to donate and/or would like to nominate a person or family in need, please donate here and fill out this quick form. Please note, you can donate or nominate, and please be encouraged to do both! Not only will these meals feed people in need and the masks protect people physically, but we hope that this will serve as a reminder that we live in a city that takes care of one another. The current state of affairs will not change the heart of our Holy City. ❤️ Let’s pay it forward, together.
