I hope this email finds you healthy happy and well 

We want to send a little update out on Nancy's health 

On November 3rd, we made the milestone of one whole year since the emergency surgery Nancy had!!

The past couple of months have been extra tough in a lot of ways and there were times we thought she wasn't going to make that milestone, so we are very grateful for every single day.

She had to go back into hospital for another surgery mid September and we weren't sure she would be able to come home again, but she is a fighter and we got her home! There has been ups and downs since then and we are trying our best to not live in the land of WHAT IFs as much as possible! 

We have a hospice team that comes to the house and is with us 5 times a week and the private nurse care has nearly doubled. I was helping with the wound care, it was getting to be too much.  I finally admitted I was burning out and needed to take a step back for my own health.

We have had a few moments over the past couple of months when we thought it might be time but she's stronger and more in her body again and has even had a few friends come by for short visits in the past week. We've changed the pain medication and it seems to have helped a lot with her energy levels and positivity 

Without a very generous donation from a best friend of hers and uncle of mine to pay for the home care we wouldn't have been able to bring her home again and are asking again for some help to continue with her care.  

The nurse care alone is 4500 a month or more and we might need overnight care added to that too soon if things progress negatively- her insurance doesn't pay for any of the private nurses and also we were told won't pay for a facility either so who knows what we would do without you all! 

YOU HAVE MADE ALL THIS POSSIBLE AND WE ARE SO SO SO GRATEFUL

I am shocked and saddened by the 'system' on a daily basis and can not comprehend how it got as bad as it is. Sitting in gratitude for the friends and world wide family we have!! 

We really do not know how long this will go on and are praying she is the miracle we are all praying for!  We are also facing this all with open eyes, hearts, and minds for the reality we are in. She is such a strong person and we are not giving up! 

I hope you can find it in your hearts to help us out again so we can continue to give mom the care she needs and deserves to have.
