Emergency Housing & Survival Fund

Hey everyone, My name is Kiara and I am a Black Non-Binary Woman from St. Louis, Missouri. And As some of you may briefly know, I am currently planning on leaving my current part-time job (experiencing racial discrimination & lack of stable income that can help for an apartment) and is also in a transition of relocation from my unhealthy family situation. For the last 6-8 months, I’ve been living with close relatives that are verbally, physically and emotionally abusive. And as someone that have Depression, PTSD & Anxiety disorder; It has been a struggle to stay in a positive mindset about my current situation and my future. I’ve have severe depressive episodes to the point of where I do have suicidal thoughts a lot more than I ever had before I was here in my currently location. It has left me in such a depleting state that I have stopped investing in the things I love to do and the things that kept me balanced emotionally and mentally. Those that I live with have been more of a block in my growth in all aspects than being a helpful hand, which caused to It’s been a very oppressive experience for me and I figured it’s time to stop suffering in silence and to not be afraid of asking for external assistance. I’m not sure if this is even going to work in my favor but I’m hoping and praying that it does so that I can live in a safe space to call my own for the first time.
