Help the Howells Rebuild After Eaton Canyon Fire
The Howells have lost their home and all their belongings in the Eaton Canyon fire. Ryan, Sheri, their daughter Athena along with their two pups Froggy and Louie were able to swiftly evacuate Tuesday night when orders were issued. Tragically they have confirmed their haven of over two decades has perished. Sheri and Ryan work as a hair/makeup artist and contractor, respectively, and are always ready to help their community. Both artists in their own right, their home was filled with projects they were proud of while raising their teenage daughter Athena.
Ryan took pride in home improvement and incorporated Sheri's artistry in ceramics into the home décor. In the photos of the kitchen you will notice tiling done by Sheri. Their house was adorned with pop culture knick-knacks from their many family trips. Ryan had recently completed work on a beautiful new bathroom as well as furniture in his daughter's room. Their backyard was delightfully Tiki themed with a koi pond that was always a must-see for visiting guests.
The Howells were always ready to host anyone who needed a space. The pride and joy of the home was the lovingly named "Thunder Ranch Arcade," filled with arcade cabinets and pinball machines with a rustic western aesthetic. Ryan and Sheri would often go antiquing to find new additions to the arcade. Hundreds from the pinball community have been welcomed into the Howell home to play and unwind in the arcade. As horror fans, the annual Halloween party was the biggest event of the year for the Howells to host their friends and loved ones.
Thankfully the family is safe but has nothing but their vehicles and the clothes they left with. I am writing on their behalf while they comfort each other at their current shelter. I have known Sheri for almost three years and affectionally call her my pinball mom. As SoCal natives, we even started our competitive pinball journey together with sequential IFPA numbers! She has been there for me more times than I can count and given me invaluable guidance. Anything you can spare to help them rebuild their space is extremely appreciated!
Please Help the Howell family feel the love from near and far!
