Mr.G Hawaii Cat Colony Caretaker Gregory Brandt

Hi, my name is Mr.G (Gregory Brandt) I'm a writer in Honolulu, Hawaii and have been feeding a colony of stray cats for over four years now. I do this at 4 am on one of the most dangerous streets in Hawaii. In the last four years, I have been attacked multiple times, including chased by a huge local bruddah holding a large steak knife and being sliced by a box cutter. I've had to use my pepper spray on multiple occasions to protect me and the cats. I am not telling you this to impress you. I want you to know that I put everything on the line to feed these cats. I have not missed a day in over 4 years. I do not have money. I am an impoverished writer who wrote a great book that very few people have read. I do have two arms and two legs and a heart so big it could crush this town. I will tell you the same thing I tell the street cats. As long as there is blood pumping in this body, these cats have a friend. They have a protector. If I had the money, I would pay everything I had to get them off the street and somewhere safe where they can just be cats. The struggle however is a lesson. It teaches and it makes me stronger. However, I, just like these cats, have been struggling and sleeping rough my whole life. I am grateful for this live of struggle tho, so are the cats. ALOHA!
