Hyrox for Macmillan cancer support.

In October 2024 I raised £555 for a very important and special charity - Macmillan cancer support - by competing in my first HYROX doubles competition at Birmingham. Throughout 2025 I am competing in multiple hyrox events in the UK and abroad to continue raising funds for this charity.

Working as a healthcare professional and seeing multiple patients and families experience a diagnosis of cancer and the associated complications is devastating. To improve patient outcomes and ensure every individual can receive high quality care, I am continuing to raise funds to promote further cancer research, treatment options available and necessary support. Together we can make a difference .

On average, one person is diagnosed with cancer every 90 seconds. This charity enables affected individuals to receive emotional, physical and financial support through the hardest times. Hyrox is a global fitness race starting with a 1 km run followed by 1 functional movement. This circuit is repeated 8 times. The 8 functional movements include:

* 1000m SkiErg

* 50m Sled push

* 50m Sled pull

* 80m Burpee broad jumps

* 1000m Rowing

* 200m Farmers carry

* 100m Sandbag lunges

* 100 x Wall balls
