A Veterans Fight for Social Justice

Donation protected

I am a 100% Disabled United States Marine Corps Veteran, A father of a terminal brain cancer survivor as well as a survivor of Hurricane Katrina. Needless to say, I AM A FIGHTER and regardless of my injuries/ailments I live to help and serve others. I have been given a second chance at life and with that second chance, I have been using my God given gift of photography to shine a light on life (the good, the bad and the ugly) through my unfiltered lens. Because of my disabilities I am unable to work a "normal" job so this is what I dedicate my life to. However,  I have had a series of unfortunate circumstances that has put a stop to my work. My (Mac) computer suffered a fatal surge which also  caused me to lose 30% of my images. In addition, my "faithful" Canon 5D MK II has gone on the fritz. Both incidents occurred  over the course of a four hour period. Devastating?  Very, but I never quit nor give up hope as I know this gift that I have been blessed with, and to walk in my purpose in life is another blessing that  I must use to help others!  The money I hope to raise will go toward a new computer, a new full frame camera body, new hard drives, lighting accessories for "on the go" photojournalism efforts, travel, lodging, protective gear and cold weather clothing. My main goal (outside of replacing/upgrading my equipment) is to go to Standing Rock and document the Native Americans and their fight against the DAPL and the brutal treatment by law enforcement against the peaceful protestors.   As well as any other societal issue in this country and abroad where the truth needs to be told.
I thank youimmensely in advance for your assistance and support and if there are any questions, feel free to  ask... I have included some images from a few of my photojournalistic efforts e.g., Alton Sterling (Baton Rouge, LA.), KKK Confederate Flag protest (Columbia, S.C.), KKK Rally and Counter protestor march (Stone Mountain, GA.) & Hurricane Katrina Aftermath (New Orleans, LA.)......
Finally, please remember my life's mantra.... "For years, as a U.S. Marine, I've carried a weapon designed to kill, now I carry one that helps, gives hope and speaks truth".
