Ieshia Jones' Rehabilitation Fund

Hello,

I am Donella Flowers, and I'm raising funds for my good friend Ieshia Jones. I appreciate you taking the time to read her story.

Ieshia is a mother of five who faced an unexpected and devastating turn of events due to complications from an outpatient thyroid surgery.

On October 2nd, she was scheduled for a minor procedure and expected to return home in two days. Unfortunately, during the surgery, she experienced cardiac arrest for 20 minutes when the doctor inadvertently pinched something. As a result, Ieshia fell into a coma for 20 days and is now in a facility that provides round-the-clock care. Upon regaining consciousness, she was left with minimal mobility and speech, rendering her unable to work and care for her family.

Initially, her employer’s insurance covered all aspects of her recovery. However, it now only covers mostly doctor visits and does not include the cost of her stay or rehabilitation at the facility. Any donations received will go towards the $3,500 monthly fee required for her to reside at the facility for a few months as we determine her next steps.
