If you can help them breathe..

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of people sturggling to breathe under Covid-19? Then carry on reading my story.  I came to the UK about six years ago to study for a PhD at Warwick University. During my study I took up a role to support the local community in Coventry by welcoming refugees and helping them develop their skills and talents. Being a refugee away from home and family, I always wanted to create a home for me and for those who took the journey.

I am currently working on a drama project 'Reintegrate' to support newly arrived and host community members in coping with Covid-19 'norms'. My project, however, is small and I am aware of the massive basic needs out there which require urgent support before people even get to think of accessing arts support programmes. Because of that, I am reaching out  to all the good people who like to give those in need the chance to breathe, to live and to re-create a thriving future.

Therefore, I'm raising money in aid of The Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre destitution fund to meet the basic needs of the many vulnerable people who came to Coventry but still need a hand so they can stand on their feet and call this place a home.
