Help Support Indigenous Youth & Emerging Artists

“Being an Indigenous person coming from a small reserve, I want to break cycles and be a role model for younger generations.”
- Patience Muldoe, Gitxsan winner of FORED BC's traditional knowledge bursary at the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology in Merritt, BC (pictured above). She's currently enrolled in the Environmental Resources Technology program and plans to get a degree in freshwater sciences.

Join me in making a meaningful impact for Indigenous and Native American youths like Patience! Wishing her and all the others every success on this chosen career journey. May these achievements inspire others.‍ As a business communications instructor at a college, I can attest to the value of education to accomplish career goals.

I'm raising funds for FORED BC SOCIETY's youth programs, aiming to empower Native American, Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth across Canada and the Pacific Northwest, such as Washington, Oregon, Idaho, western Montana and northern California. Every donation, no matter how small, helps create opportunities like youth bursaries for Native American and Indigenous traditional knowledge in natural resources management careers and Forest Week art contest prizes, fostering talent and education.

For just 15 cents a day (that's $4.50 a month), you can contribute to shaping a brighter future for these young individuals. Since 1925, FORED BC has been a trusted leader in providing educational content about sustainable natural resources management.

Your support isn't just a donation—it's an investment in the next generation's ability to achieve their dreams, like Lynnea, Indigenous youth art winner from Osoyoos Indian Band-2024 (pictured below) and many others. Please consider donating today to help us reach our goal of $10,000 and continue our crucial work in youth development and environmental stewardship.

Thank you for being part of this important cause!

Past Nicola Valley Institute (NVIT) students have gained funding and confidence through our bursary program. We strive to encourage students to reach their full potential while aiding them in their academic journeys! Contributions of any amount can set a new course for Canadian and American youth!

Give the gift of education for #givingtuesday and #indigenouspeoplesday

Please see our partner institution NVIT website https://www.nvit.ca/ and admission details for international Indigenous youth students. You can also reach out to us directly via our website or social channels.

Thank you for your interest and support!
