My dad, Israel H. Rodriguez Sr. was the most honest man I ever met. Everyone loved him for the kindness in his heart and his contagious smile and laugh. He never turned his love away from anyone because he was so generous and always saw the best in everyone. He loved his family and friends and always tried his best to unite his loved ones at our house for any celebration. My dad loved to entertain and loved the company of others... the more the merrier. He got along with everyone. He loved music and the Los Angeles Dodgers, but most of all his family. My dad was such a hard working man that he would accept work out of town for months at a time or take the weekend or holiday shifts inluding his last birthday. He constantly worked grave yard shifts at the refinery and never called out and was never late until the night of Monday March 21st as he was getting ready for work, he suffered a heart attack that tore my father away from us, just one week after his 49th birthday. We wish he would have had us to hold his hand and to be there for him, but unfortunately he passed away alone, which is so sad because he had so many people who adored him. My dad didn't deserve to leave us so early, he didn't have the opportunity to see any of his three children get married nor did he get the opportunity to be a grandfather. He was so very young and we all pictured him growing old. It breaks my heart to know that he will never walk his two daughters down the aisle or kiss his grandchildren. We will miss him so much for his smiles, his love, his beautiful soul. We love you Dad, you were an amazing father, husband, son, brother, cousin, friend, coworker, neighbor and person overall.
Not only is this all emotionally hard but also financially and we appreciate anything anyone can give us no matter how little. The money we hope to earn will go towards a beautiful funeral for our father to send him home. The funeral will be on April 4th, once again thank you in advance, it means the world to us to have support during this difficult time.
