My Objective is to Raise Awareness about Heart Failure, Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) Transplants, Heart Transplants for Adults and Children and Help with Financial Assistance for Myself and Others dealing with medical debt.

A Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) is a Pump that is used for Patients who are suffering from Heart Failure. The LVAD is surgically implanted into the Heart with a Battery-Operated, Mechanical Pump. Which then helps the Left Ventricle (Main Pumping Chamber of the Heart) Pump Blood to the Rest of the Body.

I was Hospitalized on February 14, 2023 and Discharged some time in June 2023. During My Hospitalization I became a LVAD Recipient as of May 23rd, 2023. Then on October 16th, 2024 I was called in with 45 Minutes Notice that a Heart has become available and I accepted. And later that night I underwent Heart Transplant Surgery. I’d like to use My Experience to Encourage Others by Driving to every State and Meeting with People with Heart Failure and/or LVAD Recipient. I’d like to Present ways to Help with Improving Detection of Symptoms of Heart Failure and Make strides to Assist with LVAD Recovery Conditions i.e. Mentally, Emotionally, Physically and Financially. More can be done and more needs to been done from Research, LVAD Devices, LVAD Clothing, Heart Transplants, Mental Health and both Post LVAD, and Heart Transplant advocacy customized to fit each Individual/Patient. Heart Failure will NOT define Us!
