SUPPORTING CHARITIES AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
Any help or donations towards our fundraising for this event would be deeply appreciated.
On the 8th of August 2019 we lost our Son Jack in a tragic works accident in Eastbourne. Our Son Jack lived for his sport, but football was his passion and would go anywhere just to play and if he wasn’t playing, he would be helping young kids develop or just watching it on the
tv. He would also give up his time to help his friends with any problems or bad times they were having and always be available for them to
talk or take them out to help them through their low times.
This was a devastating event in our lives, that shattered our World and changed everything in our family and left a void that could never be filled.
A couple of months after Jack was taken from us all, His friends from his last football club who were struggling themselves with the loss of
their friend asked if they could arrange a charity Football match in his memory, this match took place on the 8th of December 2019,
between his last club and a team he previously played for that both have special memories of Jack.
It was after this first game that JP8 which was just an idea that started to grow because of the love and support for the boy from everyone who knew him and became a way of creating a legacy for Jack and helping people who truly need it, kind of the way Jack took the time to
help others.
We have managed to arrange another single Charity match on the 31st of August 2020 again with two teams Jack played for that wanted
to be involved in what we are trying to build.
On the 7th of August 2021 we put on a one day six team charity football tournament in Jacks name, All the teams involved had their own
special connection to the boy.
In the couple of games and the tournament we have managed to organise we have been able to donate £9000 to various charities in support of their causes. Which we always put out on our social media pages as transparency is very important to us, as even though the money
donated is from JP8, this can only happen because of the support we get from everyone.
We have now become an official Registered Charitable Trust, but we are still self-funding, so are limited in what we can do in putting on
charitable events.
What we are looking for is support to help us grow and be able to help more people and charities. Anything from a sponsorship/partnership commitment, to authenticated signed memorabilia that we can auction, raffle prizes for our events and online raffles, so we can give more
to the people who really need help.
Yours faithfully.
Scot Phillips.
