Support DJ JaBig's Europe Charity Bicycle Ride

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am Jean-Aimé Bigirimana, mostly known as JaBig. You may know me for my DJ mixes, my cycling adventures or simply as a family member and a friend.

Today, I write to you with an invitation to support my next venture: a 7,500 km solo cycling challenge across Europe for charity.

First, I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your past support. Your involvement then has been integral to the success of my previous adventures. It is time for another journey, one that promises to be as epic as the previous ones. Yet again, it is with your support that this adventure will reach its full potential.

In July 2023, I aim to cycle from North Cape, Norway, Europe's northernmost accessible point, to Tarifa, Spain, the southernmost tip, pedalling through 12 countries and making stops in 50 cities and towns.

This is not just about the thrill of the open road. It is also about my ongoing mission to raise US$1 million for World Bicycle Relief, a charity that provides rural children with bicycles, enabling access to education.

From spinning DJ turntables to bicycle wheels, my life revolves around those two passions.

As a DJ, I freely share my passion for music through my DEEP & DOPE DJ mixes on platforms like YouTube, SoundCloud and Mixcloud. I have had the privilege of reaching a global audience, amassing over 200 million listeners in every single country on Earth. My body of work has served as the soundtrack to innumerable moments in countless lives—times of elation, sorrow, inspiration, concentration and more.

As an adventurer, I have shared my cycling exploits, which include two epic rides across Canada (a Guinness World Record-breaking Winter fixed-gear bike journey in 2016 and a surprisingly successful venture amidst the Summer of 2020 lockdown), an unprecedented bicycle DJ world tour in 2019 which was put on hiatus due to the pandemic and the unforgettable 2022 ride around the United States of America that raised US $20,000.

Today, I again ask for your patronage. If my music has moved you, if my adventures have inspired you or if you simply believe in what I stand for, I invite you to contribute to this GoFundMe.

A three-month trip of this magnitude incurs significant expenses. Your backing will be used for:

- Travel Costs: Including airfare + bike luggage fees to reach my starting point and to return from the finish line.

- Accommodation: Booking paid accommodation when necessary (I mostly stay with family, friends, fans and households that host travelling cyclists).

- Food and Water: To keep me energised and hydrated throughout the journey.

- Bicycle Maintenance: For preventive and reparative maintenance at bike shops, ensuring safety on the road.

- Transportation & Ferry Crossings: Required for specific parts of the route.

- Travel Insurance: To cover any potential health or safety issues.

- Mobile Phone Data Plans: To stay connected, ensuring safety and the ability to share the journey.

- Contingency Fund: For unexpected expenses that may arise during the journey.

Any funds raised beyond the goal will allow for more exploration, richer experiences and a deeper 'production' of my journey, shared with you.
