Jackie and Lani's Healing Fund

Jackie Giuliano and Lani McCullough along with their son, Justin and two dogs, Buddy and Shadow, were in a terrible roll over car accident on August 27th, 2016. Thankfully everyone survived but Lani and Jackie suffered severe injuries and Jackie more than Lani. Lani had to be cut out of their Land Cruiser and suffered a brain injury, broken sternum, and a lot of bruises and strains. She continues to have daily debilitating headaches and had to have her thyroid removed shortly after the accident.
Jackie suffered a severe brain injury requiring multiple surgeries and he suffered a stroke as well on the right side of his body. He was at Harbor View hospital for over four weeks in the Neuro ICU. He was then moved to acute care where he continued to recuperate and was at a skilled facility with daily rehabilitation and care for two months to get stronger. He then came home, where he is now.
As everyone knows, medical expenses are never fully covered by insurance and since their Land Cruiser was totaled, as was their trailer, they will need a new vehicle.
Neither of them can work, so other than their disability payments, they have no income. The disability money all goes to the mortgage.
Lani has been doing an amazing job of taking care of Jackie while trying to heal herself. We have seen a lot of progress but of course it is frustrating for Jackie because he is used to taking care of others, writing, and doing so much. Now, even trying to walk to the bathroom is challenging and painful.
He had surgery to reattach a portion of his skull that had to be removed to ensure the swelling and fluid went away in his brain and recovery from that surgery is long and hard.
We would like to be able to help them along the way with funds for medical expenses that we know are coming and day to day living.
That is why we are reaching out to friends and family for assistance. We all thank you for your support, love and best wishes for Lani and Jackie and we look forward to having them heal as much as they can. You can only come back so far from a traumatic Brain Injury and stroke, but they are trying. Thank you for your support.
