Jacob & Tina Wall (Paige Wall)

Hi there,

We are Judith Steckly and Lisa Bauman. We are close friends with Jacob & Tina Wall. We are hoping to raise some money to help them with some medical costs for their middle daughter Paige.

As some of you may already know, Paige was diagnosed with a brain tumor a couple of weeks before her 5th birthday in February 2023.

Paige has a cancerous brain tumor on the brain stem which is causing her facial paralysis and that’s affecting her eyesight, balance, and movement of her mouth (she can barely open her mouth + eat normally)

Canadian doctors have said that there’s no chance of it ever being gone completely and they want her on a type of chemo for 10+ years to hopefully get it to stop growing. They have found a better option, one that gives us hope of it disappearing completely in possibly under a year! The problem is, this option is only available in the United States. More specifically Texas. These doctors have worked with many other kids with this type of tumour and have had amazing results. There is no healthcare coverage for them to proceed with this treatment and are therefore having to pay everything out of pocket.

The FULL treatment recommendation is $33,000 USD PER MONTH.

(This comes to approx $44,000 CAD per month)

This is an absolutely crazy amount to have to pay out of pocket for ANY family. The treatment they are starting with will be $17,000 worth of treatment and then an additional $16,000 worth of medication for them to take home. This will take a few weeks and they will then revisit and make further decisions from there.

These costs are EXCLUDING hospitality and food costs. Jacob is staying back with the other two girls while Tina will stay in the States with Paige.

Jacob & Tina have mentioned selling their home if it comes to that, however, BEFORE that decision needs to be made, Lisa and I would like to attempt to raise some funds to help them with these costs.

If you are unable to contribute financially, please join us in prayer for complete healing for Paige. We serve a BIG God. Pray for the family, that Jacob & Tina would continue to have comfort and strength as they continue making hard decisions for their family. Pray for Felicity and Jamie, that they would stay strong. Pray for Paige, she is so young and unable to understand everything to the fullest, pray that she would stay cheerful, that the treatments would work and that we can have sweet, goofy Paige back!

We don’t want Paige to live like this for the rest of her life.
