Jacquard Evans Memorial Fund

On Saturday February 27, 2016 Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department said they responded to the call and discovered a victim on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the chest. He has been identified as 27-year-old Jacquard Evans.

Evans was later pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

According to authorities Evans went to pick up his belongings, which his girlfriend had placed outside of the home on Capitol Point.

When Evans and his girlfriend got into a verbal fight altercation, Hudspeth became involved. Authorities confirmed Hudspeth is the brother of Evan's girlfriend.

Hudspeth fired one round at Evans. He admitted to the shooting when interviewed by detectives.

Evans leaves behind 3 kids. Two biological kids (One boy and one girl) and one adopted (Adopted niece from sister).  He was a loyal Saint Thomas employee, working in the OR as a Housekeeper. He was one that always kept everyone laughing no matter how hard the day was going. His spirit and smile will be missed by all of us. The family is asking for help to cover funeral expenses and help the kids.
