college tuition assistance

Hi, My name is Jamielya Shaw and I am an 18 year old who attends the Nantucket High School. I recently migrated to the US from Jamaica. The main reason as to why I migrated was to better my education and pursue my dreams of becoming a chemical or biomedical Engineer. However, my mother and I have encountered the issue of funding my tuition just like any other family who wants to go to college. My tuition is approximately $52, 545. Currently I am doing four honors classes in school which are chemistry, pre calculus, english and US History. In addition to that I study Spanish 2, Chorus and gym. I am a student athlete who participates in swimming, diving, softball and volleyball; a sport for each season. I am also able to maintain a 3.0 gpa while working after school and on the weekends. I was on the National Synchronized Swimming team for Jamaica before moving to America and now I put that dedication into going after my dreams in order to also inspire my teammates into doing the same. I am hoping you will be able to help me pursue this dream at Assumption University as a member of the class #2021. If I were still living in Jamaica, it would have been difficult to pursue the engineering carreer. Assumption feels like the place I should be, where I will be challenged and where I could thrive. The environment pulsates with enthusiam from the student which is why I would love to go to Assumption. The reason as to why I want to study biomedical enineering is because I like to make new things, and because I have idiopathic anaphalaxis alleries. Its a type of allergy which has no exact know cause, meaning I can react to anything at anytime. However, in my case, each time it is triggered, it worsens and can worsen to a point of even death. It scares me to know this and knowing I need to always walk with an epipen because my allergies could kick off at any time. Hence the reason I want to do genetic or biomedical engineer where I can help myself or anyone else which has this problem. Thank you for reading and any donations you have given. I really do appreciate it.
