Janet Humphrey's Funeral & Medical Expenses
Donation protected
No one could have planned for or imagined the passing of Janet so soon. Her battle with lung cancer was sudden and unexpected. Back pain thought to have been degenerative disc disease turned out to be a tumor on her spine from the cancer spreading. When she arrived at Georgetown University Hospital on June 13th for emergency surgery to remove the tumor, it didn't cross anyone's mind that she would have only a very short 4 weeks of life left. She passed comfortably with family by her side, but it was just too soon.
If you've ever had the pleasure of spending time with her, you know she was such an amazing friend, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, caretaker, and much more. She cared so much for others and was always a light in the room whether singing karaoke, throwing holiday parties, dancing to disco, or just hanging out watching "scaries". One thing our family gained from this is the most endearing guardian Angel watching over us.
While we grieve the passing of our loved one, we are also hit hard with a lot of unplanned expenses. We are reaching out to our community, humbly asking for donations that will go directly toward Janet's funeral and medical expenses. Any amount as little or big that you are able to give is so much appreciated.
Celebration of Life will be at Wicomico Shores Golf Club on August 13th. Please contact Josh Humphrey for more information or if you plan to attend.
**If you prefer PayPal or Venmo to avoid the Gofundme processing fees/charges (3.5%) and ensure the family gets the full amount, you can send your donation to her son Josh Humphrey as listed below**
Venmo: @Joshua-Humphrey-86
Paypal: Jrhumphrey86 at gmail.com
(wouldn't allow the @ symbol on here, but replace "at" with "@" when sending and remove spaces)
We thank you for your generosity. Hold your loved ones close and never forget to let them know how much you love them. Life is too short and you never know what tomorrow holds.
