Jeff Eason Medical Expenses
Donation protected
As many of you are aware, High Country resident Jeff Eason has been battling leukemia. For the past five months he has been treated at Duke University Hospital and its Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic. On January 12, after three rounds of chemotherapy, he received a bone marrow transplant from a matching donor from Germany.
Since January 17, Jeff has been living in a Durham apartment near the bone marrow clinic while receiving daily infusions and recovery treatment. This apartment and related expenses are not covered by insurance. By the time of Jeff's release in April, he will have accrued more than $25,000 in out-of-pocket expenses.
We are asking you to help offset some of those expenses with a donation to this fund. We are also asking you to please share this message to your Facebook friends and charitable organizations.
Thank you so much for your help in getting Jeff back on his feet. He is due to return to the High Country in April!
