Community Support For Jesse Corona Family - Stroke

Donation protected
On New Year’s morning Jesse Corona suffered a serious stroke. He had to undergo emergency surgery and spent nearly a week in the ICU. In the coming months, Jesse will need to undergo intensive therapy to regain his physical abilities.

At 36, Jesse is in the prime of his life. The stroke was caused by an unknown injury in his left vertebral artery. They do not know how Jesse got the injury, but the injury is what caused the blood clot that traveled to his brain causing the stroke.

I have come to know Jesse and the Corona family through our sons playing soccer together. To say that they are a special family does not begin to describe it. Jesse is a loving husband and father. When you see them walking up to the soccer field, Jesse and Griselda are always hand in hand. He and Griselda have three boys, the youngest of whom is still in elementary school. Their boys are the sweetest young men. They are always playing together on the field and the older boys are always looking out for their younger brother. Jesse and Griselda are so loving toward each other and their children that they give joy to everyone around them. Jesse has a smile for everyone he meets. They are a model family and just knowing them has made a significant impact on our family.

Before the stroke, Jesse was the model of physical health. If he wasn’t at work providing for his family, he would be practicing soccer with his boys. In December, our soccer team had a dad vs. boys scrimmage, and Jesse was hands down the best dad out there (well aside from coach- sorry other dads). Those of you who know him, know that he could build/fix anything with his hands, so this has been a very frustrating experience for Jesse.

Jesse and Griselda are very hardworking people who are not comfortable asking for help. When I asked Griselda if I could put this together, her first response was hesitant. The Corona’s are the ones used to helping, not the other way around.

However, as a result of this health crisis, Jesse and Griselda do not know what is in store for them. They will certainly have medical bills, and their income will be impacted by the time it will take Jesse to get healthy. Jesse and Griselda are some of the most generous people I know and would be the first people to help someone else in need. So, if you are able to help in any way big or small, it will make a difference to them as they navigate the next few months and even year.

Folks, let’s show the Corona family how much they mean to us. I am hoping we are able to increase our goal to really help their family. And please, share this go fund me!

All money donated will go directly to Jesse and Griselda Corona.
