Quality of life after tragedy

Hello, my name is Sue Simpson, I am the mother of Jessie Simpson. Jessie was brutally attacked on his graduation night of June 19, 2016.
As a result of this attack, Jessie was in a coma for 10 months. He has almost passed away several times. Jessie has a catastrophic brain injury, bedridden in a 24 hr care facility, and is now wheelchair bound. Sadly, Jessie will never be the same.
I am a single mother and have lost my job to stay by his side. Our goals are to get a new wheelchair and wheelchair accessible van. Jessie has outgrown his wheelchair and as a result his back and body are in constant pain.
By having a wheelchair accessible van will improve the quality of life for the both of us. Outings such as going to the park or going for a drive will be much easier, but most importantly to attend his many appointments in comfort.
Having to leave my 21 yr old son to stare at a wall in a 24 hour care facility breaks my heart. Jessie was so vibrant and full of life, he needs to get out and enjoy the young life he has.
I also have a goal to one day bring my son home.
Every mom wants to see there child married, have children and come home for the holidays this will not happen for us. Coming to terms with this is unbearably hard.
With your support our dream of getting Jessie out and bringing him home for visits can happen.
Preparing our house will require ramps, lifts 24 hr care and a vehicle to transport, vehicle insurance and gas.
I greatly appreciate all the continous support, as it made it being by my sons side possible.
A big thank to all who have supported us and who continue to support us through this life long journey.
