Final expenses and wishes for James D. Brown Sr.

My father passed away this morning and had no life insurance. He has always made it known that he wants to be cremated and doesn't want a bug fuss. However, the one other thing he has always made clear is that he wants ashes placed with his grandparents in SC and with his father in TN. I would love nothing more than to be able to fulfill my father's wishes and give him the one and only thing he has ever asked of me. Unfortunately, as some of you already know, my financial situation at this time won't even allow me to pay for my father's cremation, let alone travel from Illinois, to South Carolina, to Tenessee and then back to Illinois to do what he asked.

I try very hard to always be a giver an not a taker. But now I have to do the one thing that is the hardest for me. I have to ask for help, your help, so we can take care if his expenses, pick up his ashes, and fulfill his one and only final wish. Any amount you are able to donate will be less our family and his fiance will need to come with. However, since they are not married this really falls on his children's shoulders and not hers. So friends, here I am, being vulnerable and asking for help, your help.

The price I was given for the cremation (with everything including taxes and fees) was $1081.15. Anything raised above that (or above the goal amount) will go towards helping me fulfill my fathers wishes of placing his ashes with his family in SC & TN.
