Help Jim Keep His Home

UPDATE: I am still sick from surgicical complications. I may need more surgery. I'll know in a few weeks. But I really need your help now. Thank you! :)


Brief Update: With your help I was able to take care of Leo's vet bill. Thank you so so much! However I only have a short time before I am evicted. Please help if you can. 

UPDATE: Leo died in my arms last week. I'm keeping him in the pictures, for what we went through together. I still need to make my goal - plus I need to pay Leo's vet bills. The vet is holding Leo's ashes until I make payment.


I need your help or we will lose our apartment, with no place to go.  I also need help with past-due bills.

My name is Jim Pfeifer. Leo is my dog (a rescued bordie collie - we've been together for 14 years!). My mom became critically ill three months ago and was hospitalized. I took an unpaid Family Medical Leave from my job. 

To make things worse, I had major abdominal surgery that has side-effects, and the stress of losing my home has caused those surgical problems to become serious.

As time passed with my mom, and my own illness, I reached the point where I couldn't pay my rent or bills, and got behind by over a month. My apartment management took action and set an eviction date in court. 

We have no place to go. No one can take us in, and there is no money to get another place.
