John Sutton's Funeral and Memorial
Donation protected
On the Thursday morning of June 13th, my father, John Sutton, passed away after a long battle against cancer.
18 years ago, he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I was only 5 years old at the time, but he survived that fight miraculously, and little-me didn’t even realize how lucky I was to be able to grow up with him by my side. A few months ago, he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Once again, my dad faced this battle head-on with confidence that he would survive again.
However, having to deal with both his leukemia and a weak heart, doctors were pushed into a corner in regards to treatment. He was ineligible for a heart transplant because of his leukemia and was unable to receive a blood transplant due to his weak heart. Despite the problems he was facing, he remained positive and full of love up until his very last day. Regardless of the amount of physical pain he was dealing with, he still managed to smile and give us his signature “thumbs up ” whenever we visited.
Thank you to everyone who has been of help during this difficult time, although my life is going to be different now without him, I am at peace knowing that he passed in his sleep and is free from pain.
Donations will help cover much of which is needed for the viewing, cremation, celebration of life, and any other foreseen expenses that we should encounter during this time. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers, and know that donations are not expected, but are greatly appreciated.
