John Holman Cancer Treatment Fund

John Holman is husband to Terri and father of Rebecca, Theresa, Kimberly and Kevin. He has five grandchildren.

Early this year, John was diagnosed with advanced esophageal cancer. He is currently receiving treatment, consisting of radiation and chemotherapy, at UCSF.

Many of you have asked how you can help support John and the Holman family during this difficult time. One practical way you can support them is by making a donation to help cover any expenses that are not picked up by their insurance coverage.

Many cancer patients end up paying far more than they expected. In fact, the leading cause of bankruptcy nationwide is medical bills. According to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, cancer patients are twice as likely to go bankrupt than the general population, with many people going bankrupt up to two and half years after they are diagnosed. 

Donations will be used for any out of pocket expenses including food, gasoline, accommodations, co-pays, travel expenses and anything else related to treatment.
