Jon's Medical Costs (due to being shot)

Jon got shot twice last night (11/7) when he got home from work because he yelled to a dangerous driver to slow down. His left tibia can't tib. The shot that got him in the groin MISSED all the important stuff and is lodged in his butt cheek. (Cue the Buns of Steel jokes.) 3 shots missed.

A similar car was seen this afternoon casing the neighborhood with more people in it.

He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital requiring a trauma surgery.

A second surgery is coming on Friday to finish fixing his leg bones, then another some time either before that or after to remove the device that's keeping his injured leg from closing off it's own blood flow (compartment syndrome).

Insurance will help offset some costs, but it doesn't cover the full amount. This means a large portion will still be left to Jon and Becky to pay.

They both work at/with animal rescues/shelters. It's honorable work, but as most people know it is not lucrative. Jon will be missing work due to the hospital stay and recovery. Becky will be missing work caring for Jon. This leaves a very heavy financial burden to cover the medical expenses related to the ambulance transport, hospital stay, and surgeries.
