Please help me become a PARAMEDIC
Donation protected
Hello,
First of all, THANK YOU for taking the time to read this and helping in any way, either sharing with friends or donating. Thank you!
My name is Jonathan and I live in Los Angeles, CA. I’ve been an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) for over a year, with 1,850 hours in the field working with AMBULANCE TRANSPORTS. I’ve been to several hospitals, nursing homes, psychiatric facilities, dialysis centers and other healthcare establishments helping patients go from one place to another to get the treatment they needed. I love my job, but I want to be able to do more for those in need and that is why I’ve decided to take the next step and become a PARAMEDIC.
My EMT certification took only 2 months and costed me approx. $2,000.00. Since the program was full time, I could not work while studying, but at the time I had been able to save some money working as a COVID Tester during the PANDEMIC.
The PARAMEDIC PROGRAM, HOWEVER, lasts longer (about 10 months) and costs 6 times more (approx. $12,000.00 in CA, click and hold links below to see info).
The average salary for EMTs is about $18,00 per hour, which makes it extremely difficult to afford Los Angeles’ cost of living and saving money at the same time.
Please help me raise the funds I need to afford the PARAMEDIC program.
P.S.: I’m not a US citizen yet, therefore not eligible for financial aid from organizations like FAFSA. Also, Paramedic Programs are not eligible for student loans, since they are a non degree program. Lastly, I do not have any family members in the US to ask for help with housing.
Asking for help is not easy, but I figured I had to try. I’m passionate about the medical field and healthcare services and it’s what I want to do for life. If you think you can help me with other suggestions, please reach out. Thank you again for taking the time to read this. <3
With love,
