Jonny's recovery
Donation protected
On November 5th, 2013, Jonny Ferguson, was catastrophically injured in a chemical explosion and
fire at PowderPart, Inc. located in Woburn, Mass. Many complex,
costly, and expensive surgeries are expected for Jonny in the the
future as third degree burns involve a large portion of his body. His
hospitalization will be long, timely, and expensive
Jonny is the strong, sensitive type. Always quietly, but surely showing so much love & support for his loved ones, now it's our turn to return the sentiment!
Hiding under his jokes & teasing, Jon is an extremely bright & ambitious guy, who worked hard putting himself through school, overcoming obstacles, & working multiple jobs, to obtain an engineering degree. This past summer he got his dream job, at PowderPart, Inc. working in a high tech field, that he was passionate about.
It was there, on a Tuesday at noon, when an explosion & a fire altered Jonny's life forever. He was air lifted to Massachusetts General Hospital main campus in Boston where he was admitted to the burn units intensive care facility. He suffers from 2nd-3rd degree burns on 65% of his body. Miraculously, Jon's strength has kept him alive, & we are so pleased to share that his chances of recovery are very good.
It is going to be a very long & bumpy road to recovery. They are estimating he will need at least 3 months in the burn unit, with up to 20 surgeries, with another 3 months of rehab.
Jonny's wife & family are standing tirelessly by his side, missing work, & commuting (1-3hrs) daily to be with him. Not only can they not imagine not being there with him but the Drs. say it helps his recovery to have his loved ones around.
We are fundraising to help defray Jonny's costs of treatment as well as his family's expenses incurred as a result of his hospitalization in Boston. What ever little bit you can donate will help.
With so much gratitude, we thank you, for your support, well wishes, thoughts, and prayers.
This is a picture taken of Jonny a few years back, it's message, has become the mantra of the family - 'Impossible is Nothing' - the catch phrase of Jonny's recovery.
