Lung Transplant for Julie

Hi my name is Candice, and I am fundraising for my mother, Juliette Blasini- Gant. Or most of you know her as Mrs. Julie! Julie is a loving mother of 2 with 5 grandkids who adore her dearly.

Julie has had Lupus all her life; suffering from this uncurable autoimmune disease made her more vulnerable to long-term health issues.

While mourning the loss of her mother, Julie was exposed to COVID In January. With Julie's underlying health conditions, Covid took a toll on her Lungs. Julie fought through it until one day during work at Chets Creek Elementary; her lungs gave up. Julie has spent the entire summer in the hospital and a long-term rehabilitation center in critical conditions.

With hard work and dedication to improve, Julie became eligible for a lung transplant with Mayo Clinic. As excited as we are about the opportunity, our finances can prevent her from affording the procedure, medication and long-term care she will need after.

 Julie looks forward to a healthy life after her transplant. Going for walks, returning back to work, spending time with family and friends, baking, and so much more. She is a fighter, and despite her obstacles, she remains stronger than ever.

Update: Julie just received her transplant on June 21, 2024. Thank God she is doing well. We are so thankful for those who have supported us to get to this point. Julie is still shy of meeting goal and we are asking for any additional support to help her with medication costs, Dr Visits and daily living.
