Justice for the Tuam Babies
Donation protected
My name is Peter Mulryan, I am chairperson of the Tuam Home Survivors Network. I was born in the Tuam Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, County Galway and so was my sister Marian who is currently resting at the previous site of Tuam Mother and Baby Home in a sewage pit along with a suspected 795 other babies and children. My mother was sent to the Magdalene Laundries for the rest of her 38 years of life after giving birth to us.
The Tuam Home Survivors Network have been fighting for the rights of all the 796 children and babies for many years. In the coming weeks the Government are quietly moving to close off all routes to any meaningful justice for the Tuam babies. We are fighting to ensure an inquest is held into the deaths of the babies and children in order to establish the truth of what happened and hold those responsible to account.
We need funds to fight for the babies. We have never asked for donations before as we mostly self-funded from members. We are asking for your help in raising funds so that we can campaign and influence the Government and those responsible to do that right thing and to take legal action against them when needed to ensure that they do.
The Tuam babies should be treated with the respect in death that they never received in life. Please help us fight for that.
Thank you,
Peter Mulryan
