Justin’s Road to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

This fundraiser aims to support our decorated Filipino Canadian boxing champion, Justin Parina, to reach the Paris 2024 Olympic Games representing Canada!

By contributing, you are part of Justin’s journey to be part of Canadian Olympic history. Justin knows he is so close in making it to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and we are 100% confident too! As a Canadian amateur athlete, Justin is responsible for completely covering his expenses to these boxing events. The cost of being in such an extraordinary position for an Olympic hopeful like Justin will add up quickly. We humbly ask for your kind support to help reach this incredible Olympic dream.

Financial Expenses:

Upcoming 5 events including the upcoming 3 Olympic Qualification events, training camps, competition fees, food/nutrition, transportation, hotels, flights, equipment, living expenses.

At this moment, this is a very difficult time because Justin’s biggest opponent is the financial burden of having to pay through 5 events including the upcoming 3 Olympic Qualification events, all while preparing for the arrival of his first child this summer. We don’t want Justin’s financial stressors that come from outside the boxing ring to significantly interfere with his training and momentum in qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Justin is excited to showcase his skills on the world stage in the first Olympic Qualifications at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. This tournament will give Justin a chance to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and represent Canada at the 2023 Pan American Games! Justin needs support from his community to achieve his dreams.

Here’s more of Justin’s inspiring back story!

Justin won his first National Championships in 2018, the youngest in the men’s division at 18 years old. That same year, he competed in his first international tournament in Dominican Republic, where he brought a silver medal back to Canada. In the previous 2020 Olympic cycle, Justin made a big decision to leave his parent’s home, Mississauga to train full-time at the National Olympic Centre in Montreal, to prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Unfortunately, Justin missed the opportunity to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games due to the circumstances of COVID-19, where he had a great chance to become a 2020 Olympian. Three years later, he is still resilient and determined by keeping Olympic dream alive, with sights on the Paris 2024 Olympic games!
