Kim's Back/Neck Surgery Fund

Hi, my name is MaryLouise Miller and I am trying to raise money for my sister, Kim Maurer's,  back/neck surgery. Kim has been out of work for almost 2 mos and has no insurance. She lost her job, that she had for 8 years and as she lives in a very small town, could only find part time employment.  As a part time employee, she is ineligible to purchase insurance and could not afford insurance under the ACA.  She woke up one morning and her neck/back was bothering her but it wasn't a big deal, she went to the chiropractor and he did an adjustment. She ended up going to the chiropractor several times but she was not getting any better.   As a matter of fact, it continued to get worse. At this point, her whole left side of her body is affected and she cannot hold anything in her left hand/arm because she has no feeling in it.  She is in constant pain and has trouble sleeping and is down to 85 pounds because she hurts so much, she doesn't want to eat. She will be going to the spine surgeon on 8/11/16 because they tell her that her C4/C5/C6 are way out of whack and are smashing her spinal cord. The total surgery cost is approximately $60,000.00, with the surgeon's fee being $14,400.  Any money that is contributed will be used to pay the medical fees of the spinal surgeon and hospital bills.  Family means the world to me and knowing that my sister is in constant pain, is breaking my heart. She needs to have this surgery so that she can get out of pain and live her life. I will be so thankful for any contribution that is made on Kim's behalf.
