Kowaliga Volunteer Fire Dept - KVFD
Donation protected
Kowaliga Fire Department Community,
The economy has hit our fire department hard. Our budget has been very tight over the last several years. In fact, it has been so tight that we have used the bulk of our funds to merely keep the doors open. We have not been able to make necesary repairs and/or replace needed equipment over the last several years. On top of the financial difficulties we have been prepairing for an ISO audit.
Inspite of all of this, as many of you know, our ISO audit was phenomenal. We went from a Protection Class 7 to a Protection Class 5. This is due to the amazing support of our Board of Directors, our Volunteer Firefighres, and our community.
KVFD has undergone a major transformation in the last three years. We have gone from nearly having to close our doors to being on our way to becoming one of the premier departments in our county. In order to maintain this transformation we need your help.
We need your help to raise funds for the purchase of new equipment that will help us maintain our ability to provide the most reliable protection possible for our community. We need to update one of our failing tankers and would like to purchase a compact tanker/pumper combonation apparatus that will allow us to have the water supply and agility to meet the needs of our rural community. We need at a minimum $50,000.00 to help us work toward this goal.
We sincerely appreciate your partnering with us as we endevor to provide the best fire protection we possibly can for our Kowaliga community.
Thanks you,
KVFD Team.
