Kamryn's Craniosynostosis Surgery
Donation protected
This fundraiser is for my long-time friend, Melissa Seavall and her husband Nick. Their baby girl, Kamryn, has been diagnosed with Sagittal Craniosynostosis. This is a rare condition in which the skull's sagittal suture fuses before or shortly after birth. When Kamryn was just three months old; Nick and Melissa traveled from their home in Colorado to Phoenix Children's Hospital to place her in the arms of the Neurosurgeon and Craniofacial Plastic Surgeon who would perform the surgery to repair and reconstruct her skull. They chose to come to Phoenix because of the reputation of success and care at PCH, as well as the support of family and friends in Arizona.
I am hoping to raise money for this family that has been separated from each other for 4 months now. Nick has work in Colorado while Melissa and their 3 little ones, Carter, Kamryn and Zachary, remain in Arizona. Kamryn's condition required a second surgery to help with the healing of her wound and continues to require weekly appointments to check progress/adjust her helmet which will aid in shaping her head as it heals. Kamryn also requires regular follow up with her surgeons.
Nick travels to Arizona when possible to be with his family while Melissa has had to rent a small condo for her and the babes. Their expenses are just too much. For anyone who knows Melissa; she is, by far, the most giving person. It has been difficult watching them as they've had to go through all of this. Kamryn is now 6 months old and is thriving! She is such an amazing baby girl; so happy and down to earth. It is incredibly hard to believe for someone who has endured so much so early in life.
Anything you can give to help with their financial burden would be wonderful!! Thank you so much for your consideration and generosity! Please feel free to share.
