Katie & Alex IVF

*UPDATE*  This journey has ended with another miscarriage for Katie and Alex. Whilethey mourn the loss of their two babies they still face all the bills associated with trying to conceive. If you’d like to help lighten the load for them during this rough time, I updated this page so we’d be able to do so easily. ~Journey to parenthood~
As some may know, Katie and Alex have been struggling with infertility for the last few years. Katie has been diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis, and Alex with male factor infertility. The surgery to try to remove what they could of Katie’s endometriosis was unsuccessful. This lead them to their IVF journey. Due to Katie’s endometriosis, they found out she had very few healthy eggs. So, their IVF cycle only produced one healthy embryo (Many couples get 5-6 embryos and therefore better chances at pregnancy). Well, the only embryo took! Our family was so excited for the two of them and the beautiful baby girl Katie was growing (little baby Mila pictures below)! We were all heartbroken when the pregnancy ended in miscarriage. Now, a year later, they are ready to try again. This has a hefty price tag of about $25,000, so I am asking for anyone who can and would like to to help them to start their family to donate to this fund.
