Dear Friends, Supporters, and Admirers of Ron Headrick,
We are rallying together for a cause close to our hearts: supporting the retirement fund for the incomparable Ron Headrick. With a career spanning decades and a legacy that has touched countless lives, Ron's contributions to the world of dance and theater are immeasurable. Now, as he approaches retirement, we have the opportunity to show our appreciation and love for all he has given us providing him much needed financial support. Funds will be used for general living expenses to supplement his social security check.

From his beginnings in Texas, where he earned his Equity card at just 14 years old, to gracing the stages of Broadway in productions like Funny Girl and Wonderful Town, Ron's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Along the way, he directed and choreographed over 500 musicals in stock and regional theaters, leaving an indelible mark on the world of performing arts.

But Ron's influence extends far beyond the bright lights of Broadway. He produced major nightclub shows in iconic destinations like Las Vegas, Mexico City, Atlantic City, and Miami Beach, working with June Taylor Dancers on the Jackie Gleason Show captivating audiences with his unparalleled talent.

His dedication to education and philanthropy is equally impressive. From teaching American Musical Theater in Russia to directing the Golddiggers Show, a charity that has raised over 2 million dollars for Leukemia and AIDS research, Ron has always used his talents for the greater good. He has been recognized time and time again for his excellence, receiving accolades like a Tony award nomination for educational theater, the Film Recording Entertainment Award, a Florida Theater Teacher of the Year and featured in Who's Who of American Teachers multiple times.

Ron's impact on young artists is profound. He spent over 30 years as the creator of curriculum and teacher for the musical theater department at the New World School of the Arts. He was also responsible for the New World Connection, creating 28 shows of musical theater that was a launching pad for such great artists of today like Alex Lacamoire, Wilkie Ferguson, Tarell Alvin McCraney amongst others.
For 25 years, he collaborated with the Schaefer family at the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts, awarding countless scholarships to talented artists, as well as teaching and directing and for 20 with the Miami Children's Theater to inspire the next generation of performers.

His dedication to nurturing talent has led to kids appearing on Broadway, television and movies is all a testament to his extraordinary mentorship. With over 10,000 performing arts students having benefited from his guidance, Ron's influence has truly been immeasurable.

In order for Ron to be able to retire, it is our turn to be there for him. We have the opportunity to show our appreciation and love for all he has given us. He needs financial support. Please help with whatever you feel you can, to ensure that Ron’s legacy continues to shine brightly for years to come. Imagine, if each of Ron's students pledged just $10, we could easily reach our target goal of $100,000. Together, we can honor his lifelong dedication to the arts and provide him with the security and peace of mind he deserves in this new chapter of his life.
