Kelly Miller's Epic 2019 Tour de France Fundraiser

Kelly Miller, Visit Huntington Beach President & CEO, will embark this summer to Europe to attempt one of the world's most challenging athletic events; completing the entire 2019 Tour de France route  in the same number of days as the world's best cyclists.

Kelly will be riding with Le Loop , one of the official Tour de France approved organized amateur rides. This grueling physical challenge includes riding the entire 2019 Tour de France course, starring June 28 in Brussels, one week ahead of the pro cyclists’ start. Kelly will then complete all 21 Tour de France stages over 21 days of riding, finishing in Paris on July 22. Every pedal stroke (500,000), every hill (150,000 feet of climbing) and every mile (2150) awaits riders who complete the challenging Le Loop Grand Tour.

Your contribution will go towards reaching our overall fundraising goal of $6000, which includes our WWMF goal ($4000) and offsetting a portion of the overall expenses ($2000  of the over $6000 in expenses). Le Loop requires all riders to reach a fundraising goal of $4000 U.S. for the William Wates Memorial Fund , a UK-based charity that raises funds to help troubled youth throughout the UK. The Fund was just named the #1 charity of the year by UK educator suppliers. In addition, the total costs of participating in the 2019 Le Loop (traveling, equipment, bike transportation, etc.), is well over $6000.  A small portion of contributions will be used to help offset some of these expenses.
