Please help raise funds for Kerry

UPDATE:

Kerry has been to see her consultant today who has decided that physio would now benefit her more than an operation to her knee. However, due to further complications, she is unfortunately now due to have another operation on Monday - this time to her kidneys with possible further chemotherapy afterwards so she is still going through immense procedures. Kerry is now unable to work and the family are struggling financially. Although they would not dream of asking for help, I am proposing that the money raised is to go towards helping the family to have one less worry on their minds with everything they are still enduring. I appreciate this was not the original plan, and we are so very grateful for all the donations, so if anyone would like their donation returned, please let me know and I will arrange for this to be done. Hi, my name is Nikki. My family and I urgently need your help to raise the money for my sister, Kerry, to have a private knee operation. Like many patients, Kerry has had more than her share of cancellations/delays due to the strikes by the NHS. But Kerry has endured more than most people and deserves all the help we can give her. Kerry has been battling cancer on and off for the last 15 years along with suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. She has had countless gruelling operations, chemotherapy and never complained. She is the most inspirational and bravest person I know, she never asks for help, ever! In addition, as if the above was not enough, last August Kerry had a fall and damaged her knee. The MRI on her knee was cancelled several times as she was in hospital for cancer treatment later last year and they couldn’t go ahead. When she eventually did have the MRI it revealed extensive damage to her knee and it would need an operation to repair. The consultation just to discuss the operation without even getting the date to operate has been cancelled several times and this week yet again! Bearing in mind this has been since August last year, Kerry has been in agony with the pain from the damage to her knee as well as trying to cope with the cancer symptoms and the side effects from all the medication she is taking as there is no further surgery available. She has found it very difficult to undertake normal daily tasks. There is only so much fight a person can tolerate and things are taking their toll on her which is really upsetting. I’m sure most of us would have given up a long time ago. We want to raise funds for Kerry to have her knee operation privately so that she can at least be comfortable, in less pain and enjoy some quality time with her family. The cost of this is £5,000.00. Any help would be greatly appreciated - this girl needs a well-deserved break!
